changing your program of study can be another Headache!

Yes , you are allowed to change the program of your study once you are already in Canada.
However there are disadvantages of changing your Program.

so let me tell you  what are these problems.

#1 if the program you wish to apply is more than the length of your study permit, you need to re apply for a new study permit.. you dont need to apply again for  a visa if you are already in Canada , you will need a VISA if you wish to enter in Canada.

you will need  another Letter of Acceptance plus proof you can support  yourself  and any family members with you while you are in Canada..

#2 changes in the Permanent residency pathway might be a problem too, Canadian Immigration Consultancy Clients, undergoes in a career planning not only for a visa application process  , meaning we help them to choose the proper program  so that in the end we can help them on  how to apply for a permanent residence visa  application. if you are not aware on what pathway you need to take, you are in a  trouble..

in Example : you are a registered Nurse in the Philippines and you have a solid work experience in , then you are planning to study in Canada.  do not apply for a study visa unless you read this

most of the Registered Nurses i talk to , couple of months ago they want to study atleast one year, well i understand on where they are coming from, studying in Canada is too costly.. however there are no shortcuts i hope you read my blog    do not apply for a study visa unless you read this .

when i asked them what program  you wish to study, they simply reply  " i want a caregiver course or program ".

then they will get surprised when i  respond to them that choosing this program will not help them , in their PR application.. Caregiver under Home Support Workers  are not eligible to apply for PR .
NOC Code of Canada will help you determine if your occupations are belong to priority list of occupations .
