Suggested Schools and Programs


Depending on the purpose of your study in Canada, you need to take into consideration the support network you have in the city of your choice and if you are planning to apply for permanent residence, you also need to consider the Province's nominee  programs.


Ontario
Ontario is a province in east-central Canada that borders the U.S. and the Great Lakes. Ontario remains the province with the most number of Filipinos. Aside from Express Entry System, studying and working in Ontario may lead you to permanent residence status via Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). 

The following are our recommended schools in Ontario:

British Columbia
British Columbia, Canada's westernmost province, is defined by its Pacific coastline and mountain ranges. Nature areas like Glacier National Park offer hiking and biking trails, as well as campgrounds. It is home to the famous Vancouver City. Filipinos reside mostly in the Greater Vancouver Area where the jobs are concentrated.  BC offers several Provincial Nominee Programs. One of which is the International Student Stream (i.e. you may immediately apply for nomination as soon as you completed the MS Cyber Security program of NYIT.

Alberta
Alberta is a province in Western Canada. Its landscape encompasses mountains, prairies, desert badlands and vast coniferous forests. It has more than 600 lakes, and rich mineral deposits. In the west, the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks have glaciers in the Columbia Ice fields. Alberta is home to the second-largest Filipino population in the country. Alberta also offers Provincial Nominee Program (Alberta Opportunity Stream) but it is not open to Open Work Permit Holders.

Atlantic Provinces
Atlantic Canada, also called the Atlantic provinces, is the region of Canada comprising the four provinces located on the Atlantic coast, excluding Quebec: the three Maritime provinces – New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island – and the easternmost province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Because of it's Atlantic Immigration Pilot, where it is relatively easier to get a permanent resident status, Filipino community is fast growing in Atlantic Canada.
